That’s our plan! We still need to look into it and talk with the owners of the major consoles, but we will bring cross-play where we can. Will Temtem feature cross-play (seeing people from other platforms in your game, fighting and trading with them…)?
#TEMTEM MAP OFFLINE#
Temtem is built to be 100% online and making it offline is not a trivial task. We don’t have an offline mode currently planned. If you choose Switch as your platform, you won’t have access to the game between the end of the Alpha and the start of the Switch release. Switch release will be delayed until May 2020 alongside the final version of the game. The Alpha will end in September 2019 with the beginning of Early Access on PC. The Alpha will start in November 2018 and will be accessible on PC.

We want everyone to have access to the Alpha on PC, and then you can decide if you want to hop into the Early Access on PC or wait a few months for the final release on Switch.Ĭan you remind me of the dates for the Alpha and full release? When will I be able to choose between Switch or PC? Switch backers will also get access to play the Alpha on PC so they can get an early taste of the game. The Alpha is only going to be available on Steam (PC). Will I be able to play the Temtem Alpha if I choose the game on Switch? You will be able to select the platform for each key and any combination is allowed (all for PC, all for Switch, one for PC other for Switch…). Will I be able to choose one for PC and the other one for Switch? Only Alpha Hero ($30) tiers and above will grant you a Switch key.

The list of quests on the right side of the screen serve as a means to keep you informed, though there's currently no way to cycle through older quests. The others are still active and you can pursue them, but there's no way to access the log without continuing it in some way, frustrating as it is. We presume this'll be changed at some point in the future, but right now it means you can only have an immediate record of the last three quests you interacted with or collected.
Unfortunately at time of writing, what with Temtem being in Early Access, there is no way to check the larger list of quests, which is a greyed-out option in the menu next to the map. You'll probably have noticed the list of quests at the right side of the screen that keep you up to date with those you've signed on for, as well as the dotted icon at the bottom that implies a larger list beyond that. If you're standing outside a quest-giver's house and check the map, it likely won't show the exclamation point until you're standing inside with them. In short, you'll want to check your map as regularly as possible, as most towns have at least one additional quest in them, though it's worth mentioning that they don't indicate quests inside buildings. For example, if you've agreed to find the mythical Arburian goose as a side quest, the blue question mark will either show the goose's location, or at least indicate the next step to finding it, such as a person who knows a helpful rumour, or has a lot of stale bread to give away. These connect with markers and points of interest that coincide with quests you've already signed on for. You might also see blue question marks on the map at times.
